About us

The Diabetes UK St Helens and District Group is one of over 350 voluntary groups in the UK.

Our goal is to provide support and information to people living with diabetes, and to their family and friends. We also hope to improve the understanding of diabetes held by the general public and to anyone else who has an interest in it and especially those who may be at risk of developing diabetes in the future.  We would like to send out a warm welcome to anybody who would like to come along to one of our meetings, which are free to attend. We have excellent speakers and always have time for questions, refreshments and chats at the end of each meeting. We believe that support, information and companionship are some of the simplest yet most important aspects of living with diabetes - this is why our group exists and why we want to help in any way that we can.

Our Group is run by a committee of 5 people, who help plan, arrange and publicise our programme of meetings.

Some of the Committee members changed at our AGM in June 2018, the new committee is now made up of the following :-

Chairperson              -             vacant

Secretary                    -           Barbara Graves

Treasurer                   -           Kris Cerullo

Website Facilitator    -           Paul Hadjikyriacou

Committee member  -           Bridie Hartley
